Easy walk. Start by crossing 15 May bridge from Zamalek. Then through buzzling street markets offering anything from clothes to autoparts. Then cross into stylish downtown Cairo with beautiful heritage buildings from 19th century french classics over art deco to modern eye sores. Some beautifully restored, most not. Also passing downtown’s iconic cafes and stores. Then across the Tahrir square and the Qasr al-Nil bridge and you are back in Zamalek.
