Dsegh Loop trail ( Դսեղի շրջանաձև արահետ ) is a fairy-forest trail starting from Dsegh village, Lori province.
It's amazing trail if you are fond of forest's paths, old culture and ancient legends.
Dsegh village is famous for Armenian Great Poet - Hovhannes Tumanyan birth place. In Armenia's culture Lori region has some specific coloring as Hovhannes Tumanyan wrote a lot of legends and poems about Lori's nature and native's living.
~~~ What you should know about this trail ? ~~~
--- This trail combines also another well-known trail of Lori region - ''Giqor trail''.
--- During this trail you'll discover X - XV CC. " Bardzraqash " monastery ruins ( Բարձրաքաշ ) and Armenian Khachqars (" Խաչքար " in Armenian, meaning "cross-stone") is a carved memorial stone found in Armenia.
--- You'll pass by a water source at the end of the trail, where you'll see Giqor's source or Giqori aghbyury ( Գիքորի աղբյուրը )․
--- Season for Dsegh loop trail is from April till December (or half part of November, depends on snow).
--- The length of this trail is 10 km.
--- This trail is marked by Trans Caucasian Trails but as to me GPS is mandatory also.

Lovely walk. But I'd recommend you wear trousers in the summer. In the forest we had to stop every 100m or so to pick the ticks off our legs!

А мы по Дилижанскому парку несколько дней в тапках и шортах разгуливали 😂
Подскажите пожалуйста, если у нас отель в Дсехе, нам какой лучше маршрут выбрать с петлей Лори или Дсех-Кариндж-Туманян? Просто я переживаю , как мы из Туманяна обратно в Дсех вернёмся 😅
В Дсехе много хороших отелей и гостевых домов, посмотрите в букинге.
На маршруте Дсех - Кариндж - Туманян на данный момент есть проблема: река Марц очень трудно пересечь, там строится мост.
А если из Туманяна по кольцевому маршруту , то как до него из Дсеха добраться?😅🙏 спасибо Вам большое
Из Туманяна единственный маршрут проходит через Кариндж.
Доехать до Дсеха можно по автостопу или спросить такси у местных.

Классный маршрут, но там очень много клещей (в конце февраля). И на маршруте мы встретили стаю волков )
